Job Description

Develops schematics, plans, specifications, cost estimates, studies and reports

Mentors Project Engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians
-
Schedules work for all team members
-
Manages project design schedules, budgets and scope
-
Responsible for project quality control
-
Involved with planning, design and construction phases of projects
-
Coordinates with the client and is responsible for meeting client schedules and budgets
-
Coordinates with local office and firm management to set, manage, and achieve specific office and firm goals
-
Assists and sometimes leads business development efforts to identify, pursue and win new work for the office and firm as a whole
This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team in order to work toward common goals in serving our clients. This position includes providing engineering services for the following areas of design:

Roadway
-
Drainage/Hydraulics
-
Collection Facilities/Wastewater
-
Pump Stations
-
Small/Large Diameter Water Mains

Intersection Improvements
-
Pedestrian Facilities
-
Erosion Control
-
Traffic Control
-
Signing
-
Pavement Markings
-
Retaining Walls
- Utility Coordination
Minimum Skills and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
-
10-15 years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering
-
8 years managing engineering projects
-
Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3d
-
A strong work ethic and attention to detail
-
Able to lead and manage diverse engineering projects
Desired Skills and Experience
-
Proficiency in XP-SWMM, WinStorm/Houstorm and HEC-RAS
-
Precertification in TxDOT work categories
