As prime environmental consultant, OTHON provided as-needed support to various roadway design projects district-wide – through Houston and surrounding areas. Assignments involved evaluation and analysis of potential environmental issues such as wetland determinations/delineations, environmental justice, threatened and endangered species, traffic noise analysis, air quality, and permitting for Categorical Exclusions and Environmental Assessments. Environmental Assessments also required that OTHON coordinate public involvement and noise workshops to inform the affected communities and to solicit input from the residents. In addition, OTHON was responsible for conducting traffic noise analyses in support of other NEPA compliance documents as part of this contract.
