Services for the Houston Airport System

​The Houston Airport System selected OTHON to provide construction management services for various projects at its two major airports: Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby. In this capacity, OTHON was responsible for interacting with the owner, as well as airline personnel, to keep them informed about upcoming construction activities. Contractors’ schedules were reviewed for potential interference with airport operations and corrective action was recommended when necessary.  Assignments included the two highlighted projects totaling over $200 million.

 

OTHON's Scope

Terminal C Modifications

  • Construction management services for over $98 million of improvements to this busy terminal supporting more than 30 gates
  • Modifications included upgrades to the terminal interior, utilities, restrooms, west façade, pedestrian bridge, roof, exterior, moving walkway, and garage. The project was divided into six construction projects

Central Plant Upgrades

  • Modifications included retrofitting all existing equipment and adding new chillers and boilers. The project, which was divided into five packages, included review of the design drawings and oversight of all construction by on-site civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and material engineers/inspectors.
